12–18, homeless or at riskReconnect supports young people aged 12–18 who are homeless or at risk, using early intervention and flexible, family-focused support to stabilise housing, strengthen relationships, and improve engagement with education, work, and the community. Young people and or their families may self-refer or be referred from a range of sources.
Transitional Assistance Program (TAP)
16–25, homeless or at riskTAP supports young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk by providing coordinated case management, practical assistance, and help securing safe, affordable housing while building skills for independent living.
Our doors are open 9am – 5pm weekdays, excluding public holidays.

Young people with complex needsThis program provides tailored, creative support for young people with complex needs or high-risk behaviours, helping them and their families improve wellbeing and strengthen the home environment.
The Hume Riverina Community Legal Service runs its Invisible Hurdles project from our building. It provides legal help for young people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, family violence in North East Victoria.

Sustainable Tenancies At Risk (STAR)
All ages, private rentalThe STAR Program supports people of all ages at risk of losing private rental housing by providing early intervention, tenancy support, and practical assistance to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Better Futures / Home Stretch (BF/HS)
15.9–21, care leavers. Referrals from DFFHBetter Futures/Home Stretch supports young people aged 15.9–21 who have been in care to transition to independence, providing case management to help them achieve their goals, with referrals from DFFH and related services.

I want my licence but no one can teach me
TAC L2P Learner Drivers
16–21, up to 23 in some casesThe TAC L2P Program supports eligible young learner drivers aged 16–21 (up to 23 in some cases) who do not have access to a supervising driver or an appropriate vehicle, helping them gain the driving experience needed to obtain a probationary licence.

The Learn, Lead, Live ("Triple L") Program is a six-session group program that supports young people to build self-awareness, communication, and positive relationships while strengthening emotional regulation and overall wellbeing in a future-focused way.

Who we are
NESAY stands for North East Support & Action for Youth – we are a youth and family community agency, based in North East Victoria. Our mission is to support young people and their families in our community to achieve their goals and aspirations. We work towards this through providing a range of services across North East Victoria that enables young people to achieve safe housing, develop their independent living skills, foster and nurture family relationships and sustain education and employment. To achieve this, we work closely with education, health, legal, family, mental health, local government and family violence prevention agencies.

Support NESAY
Some NESAY programs are funded by government and some are not. The ones that are not run on donations, business pledges and volunteer hours from this district.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
